FLORENCE, Ala. -- Little Rock scored six runs over the final five innings to break open a 4-2 game and go on to a 10-3 victory over North Alabama at Mike Lane Field.
With the win, the Trojans claimed the three-game series 2-1 over the Lions.
UNA is now 1-8 overall, while Little Rock improved to 5-5.
The Trojans jumped on top 1-0 with a run in the first inning, then made it 4-0 in the top of the fourth on a three-run Kobe Barnum home run.
UNA answered with two runs in the bottom of the fourth as
Grayson Throneberry walked, stole second and scored on an RBI-single by
Reid Homan. Homan then advanced to third on a throwing error and scored on a fielding error.
Little Rock added two runs in the sixth to make it 6-2 and UNA got back on the board in the bottom of the seventh when
Dominick McIntyre got a leadoff single and scored on a
Devne Daniel ground-out.
The Trojans added four insurance runs in the ninth.
UNA starter
Kyle Moore (0-2) took the loss, allowing six runs on five hits over five innings.
LR reliever Jacob Weatherley (1-0) got the win, pitching three and a third innings of relief.
UNA was out-hit 11 to four in the game.
The Lions will host UT-Martin on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. at Mike Lane Field.
