MEN’S BASKETBALL SIGNS 6-10 FORWARD FROM SENEGAL

FLORENCE – The University of North Alabama men's basketball team has added a fifth player to its 2021-22 recruiting class. Head coach Tony Pujol has announced the addition of Pape Momar Cisse, a 6-10, 195-pound forward from Central Pointe Christian Academy in Kissimmee, Fla.

Originally from Dakar, Senegal, Momar Cisse averaged a double-double his senior season. He scored 14.7 points and pulled down 10.8 rebounds per game as the White Tigers posted a 30-5 record and won the Sunshine Independent Athletic Association championships.

"We are very excited to add Pape to our basketball family here at North Alabama," said Pujol. "He is extremely long and athletic. His skill set fits perfect with our style of play."

Momar Cisse will be a true freshman and will join fellow signees Daniel Ortiz, Omar Figueroa, Deraje Agbaosi and Damian Forrest next season. The Lions will also return nine lettermen from last season's team that went 13-11 and advanced to the ASUN Conference championship game.
