SPARTANBURG, S.C., – The University of North Alabama volleyball team could not hold an early 1-0 lead against the host Terriers on Sunday, dropping a 3-1 decision on the final day of the Wofford Invitational. With the 25-19, 14-25, 24-26, 10-25 loss, UNA falls to 4-7 on the season.

The two teams, who each entered the day as the only remaining undefeated teams at the event, split the first two frames. Wofford then edged the Lions 26-24 in the third frame and carried the momentum into the fourth set to produce a dominating victory to clinch the match

For the match, Kamryn Parsonage led the Lions with 13 kills. Breylee Linder had 31 assists and 11 digs for her fourth double-double of the season. Katie Gerig and Katy Floyd also had 14 digs each.

Parsonage and Maggie Sullivan each received all-tournament honors for North Alabama. Parsonage, a sophomore from Cypress, Calif., averaged 2.91 kills per set with 17 digs and three service aces. Sullivan, a junior from Tuscaloosa, added 22 kills, 10 digs and eight blocks on the weekend.

UNA will host Alabama A&M on Tuesday. Match time is set for 7 p.m. at Flowers Hall.
