VOLLEYBALL LIONS OUTLAST ALCORN STATE IN NASHVILLE

NASHVILLE, Tenn., – The University of North Alabama volleyball team wrapped up play at the Music City Invitational with a 3-2 win over Alcorn State on Saturday. The 23-25, 25-14, 25-14, 23-25, 15-10 victory represented the second win over the Braves in three days as the Lions improved to 2-5 on the season.
 
Katy Floyd turned in a match-high 15 kills while AK Griggs added nine kills and seven blocks on the day.
 
Katie Gerig led the way defensively with 16 digs. Tatum Fouche also reached double figures with 12 digs while Floyd's 13 digs gave her a double-double for the match.
 
UNA will play at Auburn on Thursday before heading to Spartanburg, S.C. for three matches at the Wofford Invitational. Match time at Auburn is set for 6 p.m. and will be broadcast on the SEC Network+ platform.
