NASHVILLE, Tenn., – After rallying to win the opening set, Lipscomb carried the momentum over to the next two games to post a 25-23, 25-17, 25-14 home win over the University of North Alabama volleyball team on Saturday. The fifth straight loss leaves UNA with a 12-10 overall record and 2-8 mark in ASUN play.

UNA led throughout the opening set, including a 19-15 advantage after a block by Mattrice Harris and Anna Katherine Griggs. The home team, however, responded with four straight points to tie the score. The Lions were able to regain a 22-20 lead, but another 4-0 Lipscomb spurt gave the Bisons a set point.

A kill by Hayley Martin extended the game before Lipscomb got a kill of its own to secure the win.

In the second set, UNA led 15-14 before the Bisons pulled away.

An early kill by Harris in the third set put the Lions ahead 1-0. It would be the only lead of the game, however, as Lipscomb responded with three straight points and never trailed again.

Taylor Floyd finished with nine kills to lead North Alabama. Breylee Linder had 25 assists and Ella Ratzloff notched a match-high 20 digs.

UNA will play Central Arkansas in its next two ASUN matches. The Lions will host UCA Wednesday at 6 p.m. before traveling to Conway, Ark., the play the Bears the following Sunday.
