FLORENCE, Ala. -- Several members of the University of North Alabama football team are prominent in the latest NCAA Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) statistics including one national leader.

Junior receiver Takairee Kenebrew of Childersburg, Ala., leads the FCS in average yards per catch at 25.5. He leads the Lions with 19 pass receptions for 485 yards. His six touchdown receptions rank tied for 19th in the nation.

Sophomore running back ShunDerrick Powell of Hoxie, Ark., is ranked in the Top Five in the nation in seven categories. He is third in total yards rushing (956), third in rushing yards per game (136.6), tied for third in rushing touchdowns (13), tied for fourth in total touchdowns (13), tied for fourth in scoring (11.1), fifth in rushing yards per carry (7.59) and fifth in all-purpose yards (157.0).

True freshman quarterback Noah Walters of Lincoln, Neb., is also ranked in two categories. Walters is seventh in the FCS in average yards per pass completion (15.59) and 20th in touchdown passes (14).

As a team, North Alabama is eighth nationally in passing yards per completion at 15.05.

The Lions travel to Conway, Ark., to take on Central Arkansas on Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
