SUZUKI IS ASUN PLAYER OF THE WEEK

ATLANTA, Ga., – A pair of 20-plus point performances, including a career-high 28 points at Pitt resulted in Hina Suzuki being named the ASUN Player of the Week. The 5-3 guard on the North Alabama women's basketball team takes home a weekly conference award for the first time in her career.
 
Suzuki began the week with a 22-point outing at Georgia State. She was 8-of-13 from the floor with a pair of three-point baskets for the Lions. She added five assists and four steals.
 
Against Pitt, the graduate from Hamamatsu, Japan had game-high totals of 28 points and eight assists on the day. She currently leads the ASUN with 70 assists and an average of 6.4 assists per-game. Those numbers also rank 16th and 12th nationally.
 
For the week, Suzuki averaged 25 points, 6.5 assists, and 2.5 steals per game. She finished the week 17-of-31 from the floor with seven three-point baskets.
