ATLANTA, Ga. -- University of North Alabama freshman Jahnavi Prakhya of Gujarat, India has been named to the 2022 ASUN Conference Women's Golf All-Freshman Team.

Her top individual performance this spring tying for first at the Bobby Nichiols Intercollegiate, which marked the highest finish by a UNA women's golfer in the four-year history of the program.  After firing an opening round 70, Prakhya shot 74 in the final round for a 146 total. She also finished ninth at the Babs Steffens Invitational.

Prakhya is the first UNA women's golfer to earn an ASUN season award.
