NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Belmont scored 14 runs in the third inning and went on to an 18-2 win over North Alabama at E.S. Rose Park.
The Bruins took a 1-0 lead in the first inning before UNA took a 2-1 lead in the top of the third.
Reid Singewald walked and
Cal Cook singled to leadoff the inning.
Dominick McIntyre then singled to drive in a run.
Luke Harper followed with a single to drive in Cook.
From there it was all Belmont as the Bruins added 14 runs in the third inning, one in the fourth and two in the sixth.
With the loss, UNA is now 9-37 overall.
Carson Howard took the loss for UNA. He allowed three runs on five hits over two innings.
The Lions host Bellarmine in a three-game ASUN Conference series beginning Friday at Mike Lane Field.
