FLORENCE, Ala. -- University of North Alabama head women's soccer coach Chris Walker has announced the signing of four student-athletes who have joined the Lions for the spring, and an additional nine who will join the Lions next fall.

UNA has added goalkeeper Adriana Wright Headland, Ala., forwards Siri Theilgaard-Mönch of Malmö, Sweden and Haley Patterson of Madison, Ala., and midfielder Kellie Hovis from Huntsville, Ala., who will be part of the team this spring.

The list of signees joining in the fall of 2023 includes goalkeeper Þórdís Ösp Melsted of Hafnarfjörður, Iceland; defenders Abby Thornton of Franklin, Tenn., and Gracie Tyrrell from Dacula, Ga.; forwards Kate Nelson of Nolensville, Tenn.,  Olivia Patterson of Florence, Ala., Lily Hosmer of Athens, Ala., and Giada Aldini from Reggio Emilia, Italy. Midfielders joining the Lions will be Elin Brådenmark from Uppsala, Sweden and Addie Speight from Edwardsville, Ill.

"We are really pleased with the recruiting classes we have been able to put together for our 2023 class," said Walker. "We had the opportunity to have some of the ladies join us early this spring, and the rest will join us this coming summer. We feel that we have strength in depth in each position. This class is full of exciting talent and great personalities with a committed work rate. We are excited for this coming fall season."
