ATLANTA, Ga. -- The University of North Alabama men's tennis team has been picked to finish 10th in a pre-season poll of ASUN Conference head tennis coaches.

The Lions are in their first season under new Director of Tennis Olaya Garrido-Rivas and men's tennis coach Aitor Reparaz.

The Lions return five lettermen from last season, including Jamie Bixby, Guilherme Diniz, Nazar Fedoryshyn, Carlos Matarredona and Chris Zhang.

"I am very excited to start practices soon and get ready for the season," said Reparaz. "We have a competitive schedule that will help us prepare for conference play. The team is hungry to compete hard and rise in the rankings."

UNA opens its 2023 season in Hattiesburg, Miss., against Southern Mississippi on Saturday, January 28.

The Lions host Chattanooga on Friday, February 17 in their home opener.
