CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (November 7, 2024) – The University of North Alabama women's tennis team is set to cap the 2024 fall season this weekend at the Chattanooga Invite from Nov. 8-10.
Traveling to Tennessee for the third time this season, the Lions look to conclude the season with a strong effort in the three-day tournament. The four-team event will feature UNA taking on the Mocs along with in-state rival Jacksonville State. Atlantic Sun Conference foe Bellarmine will also be at the tournament but will not face UNA.
In the last outing for North Alabama, the Lions had a great showing at the MTSU Hidden Duals and will look to continue the strong showings at Chattanooga. UNA left with 22 wins in Murfreesboro, leaving with the most victories among a field that included Middle Tennessee, EKU and Western Kentucky.
The weekend features doubles and singles action, starting with the two rounds of doubles action on Friday. Saturday begins two rounds of singles action, with the Lions set to face the Gamecocks at 2 p.m. Sunday finds UNA wrapping up the weekend with singles action against Chattanooga and Jacksonville State at 2 p.m.

ABOUT THE OPPONENTS
BELLARMINE: The Knights were victors of nine matches this past Spring season, with a lone win against Queens in conference play. Bellarmine and North Alabama met in the final regular-season dual on April 14, 2024, with the Lions sweeping the Knights, 7-0.
JACKSONVILLE STATE: The Gamecocks went 12-8 in the Spring 2024 season, capping the season with a second-round appearance in the 2024 Conference USA Tournament. They opened with a 4-2 win against Middle Tennessee before the ensuing next-round defeat to Liberty.
CHATTANOOGA: The Mocs won eight matches in the 2024 championship season with an appearance in the Southern Conference Tournament. UTC fell to Samford in the first round.
