OWENS CROSSROADS, Ala. (April 16, 2024) – University of North Alabama senior Tori Roush closed out the third and final round of the 2024 Atlantic Sun Championship with a one-under-par 71 — the best single round of her career — as the UNA women's golf team placed ninth in Owens Crossroads, Ala. on Tuesday. 
 
North Alabama finished the 2024 ASUN Championship in ninth place of 12 teams with a 904 three round team total. Kennesaw State took home the team title, while Lipscomb's Lauren Thompson took home the individual crown. Kennesaw State turned in a two-under-par 864 total, leading Lipscomb by two strokes in the final standings. North Florida, Austin Peay and Stetson round out the rest of the top five. FGCU, Jacksonville and Central Arkansas separate UNA from the top five teams. The Lions finished the event ahead of EKU, Bellarmine and Queens. 
 
Junior Jahnavi Prakhya led all North Alabama golfers in the event, tying for ninth place with a 218 total. Prakhya followed up a first round 74 with rounds of even-par 72 in the second and third rounds. 
 
After finishing the 2023 finale with a seventh place finish, Prakhya closes out her junior campaign having placed in the top 10 of two consecutive ASUN Championship events. 
 
Roush was the second-best UNA individual, tying for 21st place with a 222 total. The senior from Fairhope, Ala. tallied a career best 71 in the third round after rounds of 76 and 75 to start the event. Her third round was highlighted by five birdies, including three straight on the front nine. 
 
Junior Hannah Dees finished with sole possession of 46th place with a 232 total, while redshirt freshman Kerigan Klauber and senior Allycia Gan turned in 236 totals to tie for 51st place.
