COLUMBIA, Mo. (September 21, 2025) – For the second time this season, the University of North Alabama women's golf team visits a new state in the Midwest when it appears in the Johnie Imes Invitational on Monday and Tuesday hosted by Missouri.
The Lions opened the 2025 fall season in Kansas back in August. This marks the second tournament of the season. Both have been hosted by Power Four programs — Kansas and Mizzou.

NOTABLES
THE LINEUP: UNA will take four of the five golfers that started in the opening tournament to Missouri. Making her collegiate debut on Monday will be true freshman Kiersten Riggins, who was an in-state standout at Hewitt-Trussville High School. Redshirt junior Kerigan Klauber is at the top of the lineup for the first time in her career, followed by true freshman Lisa Palmgren in her second collegiate tournament. Sophomore Sirichaya Chanpen and junior Ava Schwartz will pencil into the three and four spots of the lineup.
THE FIELD: The Lions are one of 14 schools in the field this week. Missouri and Kentucky will represent the SEC in the tournament, while UAB joins UNA as the two schools from Alabama in the field. Other schools include Big 12 member Cincinnati, Murray State, Missouri State, Morehead State, Omaha, Wichita State, East Texas A&M, Howard, South Dakota and South Dakota State.
ORDER OF EVENTS: The Lions will arrive in Missouri on Saturday and will begin the practice round on Sunday afternoon at 1:40 p.m. The tournament officially begins Monday with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. The teams will play 36 holes on Monday and will round out play with 18 holes on Tuesday.
THE COURSE: Mizzou entered a partnership with The Club at Old Hawthorne in 2006 and have gradually evolved the course over the last two decades. This course hosted the 2014 NCAA Columbia Regional. This is a par-72 course that spans 7,221 yards with Zoysia tees and fairways, with T-1/Alpha Bent greens
LAST TIME OUT: The Lions opened the 2025 fall season at the Jayhawk Invitational hosted in Lawrence, Kan. UNA finished sixth place of 10 teams, besting the likes of Creighton, Northern Iowa, Alabama State and Eastern Illinois. Schwartz led the Lions with a 25th place finish at 18-over, followed by sophomore Olivia Whittle in 29th at 20-over. Schwartz had a low-round of 74 to close the tournament.
ADD ANOTHER TO THE LIST: Missouri will be the 12th state the UNA women's golf team has visited since starting the program in 2018. The Lions played in 10 states over the first seven seasons — Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee — and added an 11th this season at Kansas.
