FLORENCE, Ala. (May 14, 2024) – The University of North Alabama men's tennis team added a fifth postseason honor to this season's collection, as junior Nazar Fedoryshyn was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team Tuesday morning.
 
Fedoryshyn earns his first career postseason academic honor with the distinction, marking the second career postseason honor all-time. It marks the second-straight Academic All-District nod for UNA Men's Tennis after Carlos Matarredona Valor received the mark in 2023.
  
Fedoryshyn set a career mark with 26 total wins, going 13-10 in singles play with a 13-7 record in doubles. He played primarily from the third through fifth single flights, going 4-1 from flight three, 3-4 from flight four and 6-5 from flight five. In doubles, the junior went 2-1 from flight one, 10-5 from flight two and 1-1 from flight three.
 
He won seven straight doubles matches from Feb. 2-24, picking up wins against Texas Rio Grande Valley, UT Arlington, Chattanooga, North Dakota, Troy, Jackson State and Alcorn State. In ASUN play, he went 4-5 in doubles and 6-6 in singles, with singles wins over Kennesaw State, EKU, Queens, Lipscomb, and Austin Peay and doubles victories over FGCU, Kennesaw State, Austin Peay and Lipscomb.
