FLORENCE, Ala. (June 25, 2024) – The University of North Alabama women's golf team had two student-athletes earn College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors on Tuesday, as senior
Allycia Gan and redshirt freshman
Kerigan Klauber were named on the list.
Gan and Klauber were part of a historical academic semester at UNA in Spring 2024, as the entire women's golf team posted a collective 4.0 GPA to become the first program in school history with a perfect 4.0 semester.
Additionally, Gan and Klauber become the first Academic All-District honorees in the program's six-year history.
Gan participated in 11 tournaments as a senior and placed top five at both the APSU Intercollegiate in September and the Chris Banister Golf Classic in March. She also played in the PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship for a second straight season and placed 14th. She holds the school record for lowest single round score at 67, which she set in 2023 at the Rivertowne Invitational.
Klauber played in nine events as a redshirt freshman with three finishes inside the top 30. Her best match came at the Bama Beach Bash in Gulf Shores, Ala. where she shot a 10-over with a low score of 75 in the opening round.
