NASHVILLE, Tenn. (October 2, 2025) – The University of North Alabama women's tennis team travels to Nashville, Tenn. this weekend for the Lipscomb Fall Invitational.
UNA returns to action starting Friday with the three-day event from Oct. 3 through Sunday, Oct. 5. The Lions look to build on a solid first outing, taking 17 wins at the Ragin' Cajun Hidden Duals from Sept. 20-21.
All competing Lions finished with at least one win in the dual in Louisiana. Junior Mathilde Delaney led with five wins, followed by junior Emma Ansorge and freshman Sammie Schouten with four. Newcomer Louise Booker had a solid start in her UNA debut with three wins along with senior Eeva Ristola.
Senior Senem Ocal and freshman Farah Asaad rounded out the outing with two wins.
ABOUT THE LIPSCOMB FALL INVITATIONAL
The Lions will compete in the weekend's matchups against Murray State, Belmont and host school Lipscomb. The three days include two matchups each day with the Lions facing one team in double and one in singles.
Friday opens with North Alabama facing Murray State in doubles at 10 a.m. Singles play begins against Belmont at 5 p.m.
On Saturday, UNA faces Belmont in doubles at 10 a.m. Day two concludes against Lipscomb in singles at 11 a.m.
Day three sees the Lions battling the Bisons in doubles at 10 a.m. The final singles bout finds UNA facing Murray State at 11 a.m.
