FLORENCE, Ala. (November 30, 2025) – The University of North Alabama women's basketball team is set to battle Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Monday, Dec. 1 in CB&S Bank Arena at 6 p.m. This will be the final home basketball game of the calendar year.
This will conclude the non-conference home slate for North Alabama, while Arkansas-Pine Bluff makes its first visit to "The Bank" on Monday. The Lions are 4-0 at home this season and hunt their second straight win following a 73-44 win over West Alabama last Saturday.
UNA will host a Teddy Bear Toss during the halftime in support of Bank Independent's Toy Share. Fans can bring a teddy bear or stuffed animal to toss onto the court with all collections going back to support children this holiday season.
Fans can catch the game on ESPN+ with Grant Wakefield and Chase Glover on the call. There will not be a radio broadcast of this game.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early for the game, as parking is limited due to ongoing construction. As such, the lot near the Hal Self Athletic Annex will be unavailable. Violators will be towed if parked in the construction zone.
Lots A and B will be in the parking lot directly below Flowers Hall. Lot A pass holders will have coned off spots near the staircase. Shuttles will be available to take fans up to the field house lot for entry into CB&S Bank Arena.
Lot C parking will be in the parking lot below the Mitchell Burford Science and Technology Building. Residential Students will have access into Lot C with their hang tags. The public can also park in this lot for $12. Parking at the Bill Jones athletic complex will be unavailable. However, this lot is available as a drop off area near the arena.
Limited handicap parking will be available in front of the CB&S Bank Arena ticket office.

LAST TIME OUT: North Alabama soared to a 73-44 triumph on Nov. 22 over former Gulf South Conference foe West Alabama in CB&S Bank Arena. The Lions led nearly wire-to-wire, rolling to the home win to remain unbeaten in CB&S Bank Arena this season. It marked the first meeting between the former Division II rivals since 2018, when UNA made the move to Division I.
SCOUTING THE LIONS: The Lions are sixth in the overall Atlantic Sun Conference standings with a 4-2 record. UNA shoots 39 percent from the field while holding opponents to 33.7 percent shooting. UNA holds slight advantages in three-point shooting percentage (.260 to .246), rebounds (261-241), steals (52-44) and blocks (25-20). North Alabama's strength lies in assists, leading 85-51 in the category. The Lions are third-quarter warriors, outscoring opponents 107-76 in the period through six games.
SCOUTING ARKANSAS-PINE BLUFF: The Lady Lions look to secure their second win of the season, entering the matchup 1-5 on the season. Arkansas-Pine Bluff's lone win came in a 69-64 road win against Memphis on Nov. 3. The Lady Lions finished the 2024-25 season with a 3-25 overall record and 1-17 record in the Southwestern Athletic Conference. Indiya Bowen (13.3 points per game) and Jailah Pelly (12.7 PPG) are the leading scorers, ranking fourth and sixth in the SWAC, respectively. Erica Leak leads Arkansas-Pine Bluff in her second season.
SERIES HISTORY: The two teams are set to play in the second all-time meeting in series history. North Alabama won the first all-time meeting on Dec. 1, 2024, with a 62-48 victory in Pine Bluff, Ark.
AMONG THE RANKS: North Alabama ranks top three in the ASUN in eight statistical categories. The Lions lead in the conference in total rebounds with 43.5 per game. They are second in opponent field-goal percentage (33.7 percent) and offensive rebounds (14.3 per game). UNA is third in blocked shots (4.17 per game), steals (8.67 per game), opponent three-point percentage (24.6 percent), opponent free-throw percentage (73.1 percent) and turnover margin (2.00).
RIGHT UP HER ALLEY: Senior Alexsandra Alvarado leads the team in scoring with 12.7 points per game on 45.9 percent shooting. She is UNA's current three-pointers made leader with 13 at a 37.1 percent clip. She is sixth in the ASUN in three-pointers made per game (2.2 per game) and 13th in the ASUN in scoring average. Defensively, Alvarado is tied for seventh in steals per game (1.8).
MCNAMARA MAKES WAVES: Junior Cameron McNamara is second in scoring and field-goal percentage at 11.7 points per game on 52.9 percent shooting. She is also second in rebounds with 29 for a 4.8 average. The junior ranks second in the conference in free-throw shooting with an 88.9 percent average — 42nd nationally.
SOFIA SHINES: Sophomore Sofia Ceppellotti is third on the team in scoring at 10.3 points per game. She leads the team in field-goal percentage (53.6 percent) and three-point percentage (42.9 percent) while second in rebounds (5.0 per game) and made three pointers (six). She had a career day against Fisk, scoring a career-high 16 points with a game-high seven rebounds.
GABBY GETS IT!: Freshman Gabby Jackson is the team leader in rebounds with 43 for a 7.2 average. She has had at least five rebounds in all but one game with a season-high 13 at Tennessee State on Nov. 19. The Kansas City, Mo. native ranks ninth in the ASUN in rebounds per game.
BIG ON BUKKY: Graduate Bukky Akinsola has shown veteran leadership in multiple parts of the game. Averaging 7.5 points per game, Akinsola has made her mark in the playmaking and defense category. She has the team-high in total assists (18) while second in steals (10). Akinsola is tied for ninth in the ASUN in steals per game (1.7) and tied for 15th in assists per game (3.0).
KATIE CLAMPS: Junior Katie Criswell is the current blocks leader on the team with six across six games. She has registered a block in all but one game so far with two against Fisk on Nov. 6. Her one block per game average is tied for ninth in the ASUN.
