FLORENCE, Ala. (March 25, 2025) – Junior forward India Howard secured her second academic honor of the season after being named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team Tuesday.
Howard adds to her tally after receiving her first postseason honor on March 6 with an Academic All-ASUN team selection. She is majoring in Engineering Technology with a 3.92 GPA.
The Coppell, Texas native played in 29 games with 21 starts in her second UNA season, averaging 8.0 points per game on 50 percent shooting. Howard was among the conference leaders in rebounding, averaging 7.3 rebounds per game to finish eighth in the ASUN.
She scored in double figures 12 times, including a season-high 16 points versus Central Arkansas on March 1, and she registered double-digit rebounds in eight games, including a season-high 17 versus Stetson on Jan. 16. A double-double expert among the team, she totaled five of North Alabama's seven double-doubles on the year.
The junior was a force on the defensive end, ranking third in the ASUN with 1.5 blocks per game. Her 44 total blocks also ranked her third among the top 10. She had 11 games with two or more blocks, including tying her career high with six against FGCU on Feb. 22, 2025.
