ATLANTA, Ga. (October 2, 2026) – The University of North Alabama beach volleyball team opens its 2026 fall season Saturday in Atlanta, Ga. at Atlanta Beach Club. 

Atlanta Beach Club is a new club presenting their debut tournament to North Alabama and Chattanooga. Seven pairs from each team will compete against each other, with North Alabama pairs varying after each round.  

Play will begin at 9 a.m. and will be located at Atlanta Beach Club's 10-court facility.  

The Lions enter their first fall event with 11 returners, including Second Team All-ASUN selection Paige Griner, who had a 22-14 record last season. They also bring in four newcomers, all of which are freshmen.  

Chattanooga enters the fall season after a solid spring, going undefeated in their conference with a 24-5 overall record. The Mocs also faced the Lions last spring, defeating North Alabama 3-2. The Lions won the first two flights but dropped the final three.
