FLORENCE, Ala. (February 27, 2026) – The University of North Alabama baseball team fell to Southern Indiana Friday afternoon, 20-1.
UNA promoted a Pink Out game this afternoon as Hope Agosto, Lions' senior right-handed pitcher Justus Agosto's mother, threw out the ceremonial first pitch.
This is the first loss of the season in a Friday afternoon game for UNA.
North Alabama (6-4) had left fielder Nash Rippen hit a solo shot for his fourth home run of the season in the third inning to cut the to 4-1. The senior hit .667 with a double for the afternoon slate.
Southern Indiana (7-3) used 19 hits for the 20 runs with a nine-run fourth inning to carry the Screaming Eagles to victory.
Tripp Patterson, Nico Varlotta and Jordan Touhey combined for the seven innings of work in the contest. Patterson records his first loss of the young season.
