FLORENCE, Ala. (February 28, 2026) – The University of North Alabama baseball team fell to Southern Indiana at Mike D. Lane Field at Bank Independent Stadium on Saturday, 8-0.
This is the first series loss for the Lions this season.
North Alabama (6-5) had three hits for the afternoon from designated hitter Tyler LePage, left fielder Nash Rippen and center fielder Ryker Billingsley — the first hit for Billingsley this season.
Southern Indiana (8-3) had two separate innings of three runs to catapult its lead after the fifth before adding a final run during the eighth inning.
Luke Davenport went four innings with four strikeouts in the 22 batters he faced. Gavin Oswald pitched the next three innings before Landon Scruggs closed out the game, both earning a strikeout.
