TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (March 15, 2026) – The University of North Alabama men's golf team took a 20th placement on Sunday in the opening round of Seminole Intercollegiate tournament held in Tallahassee, Fla.
The tournament was originally planned for 18-holes a day over the course of three days. However, due to incoming weather Monday, the tournament changed to a 36-hole Sunday and an 18-hole Tuesday.
Today, play was suspended before all 36 holes could finish with the Lions varying from two to four holes remaining. The plan is to wait out the weather tomorrow and finish round two after 4 p.m. — Tuesday will still host 18-holes.
The Lions struggled through the first round with a 20-over day before allowing a 15-over second round start to place them in 20th.
North Alabama is led by Andrew Ferworn in 25th with a three-over day that saw five birdes across his 33-holes of play thus far.
The junior is followed by Sebastian Bengtsson (75th), Jedd Brady (88th), Xing Luo (97th) and Estas (106). The team secured 14 birdies on the first day.
Host school Florida State leads this one as the only under-par team in the tournament. Behind FSU is Southern Miss in second after shooting up four spots on the leaderboard. Troy takes third as Western Kentucky climbs 13 spots to tie Stetson in fourth to round out the top five.
Other notable ASUN teams are Lipscomb in ninth, Austin Peay in 11th and Eastern Kentucky in 18th.
