JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (April 7, 2026) – University of North Alabama sophomores Jennah Atchley and Brooke Bolden were named the Atlantic Sun Conference Beach Volleyball Pair of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
The sophomore stars earned UNA's first conference weekly award of the season after a three-win outing at the GSU Diggin' Duals.
Bolden and Atchley are the third different pair in program history to take home the honor and the first in nearly two seasons after former standouts Paula Klemperer and Taylor Seney won the last award on April 17, 2024. Klemperer and Seney received the honor a record four times while Catie Ladney and Mackenzie Martin won the program's first-ever honor on April 13, 2022.
Atchley and Bolden were victorious from flight three against pairs from Georgia State, South Florida and Mercer. They helped lead the team to its first-ever victory over Georgia State along with a win over Mercer. The duo improved their win total to 11 on the year – ranking third on the team.
The pair opened the weekend with a 21-14, 27-29, 15-13 victory over Georgia State's Kealy Dirner and Ella Mozeleski. The two continued with a 21-18, 17-21, 15-12 win over South Florida's Morgan Anderson and Sasha Pasloski. They ended the invitational with a 19-21, 21-14, 15-12 triumph over Mercer's Maddie Lee and Hollis Engel.
The Lions look on to the Scenic City Showdown from April 10-11 to face EKU, Chattanooga, Berry College and UT Martin.
