BRADLEY LEADS VOLLEYBALL TEAM TO SWEEP AT MC

CLINTON, Miss., – Lexie Bradley had 15 kills to lead the University of North Alabama volleyball team to a 3-0 road sweep at Mississippi College on Saturday. The 25-8, 25-14, 25-15 victory gives the Lions a 13-3 overall record and 7-1 mark in Gulf South Conference play.
 
Bradley, a sophomore from Florence, added a .667 hitting percentage. UNA hit .400 as a team as setter Andrea De Leon recorded 32 assists on the day. The senior from San Juan, Puerto Rico continues to lead the league in assists-per-set (11.21) while the Lions top the GSC in team hitting percentage (.296) and total assists (732).
 
On Saturday, UNA got off to a fast start in the opening set. Bradley had five kills in the first game as the Lions jumped out to a 10-3 lead and never looked back. As a team, North Alabama hit .700 in the set. Bradley continued to lead the Lions over the final two sets, notching a .667 percentage in each clip.
 
Mississippi College (2-14 overall, 2-7 GSC) were led by Jamila Biglow, Jenna Campbell and Kayana Mitchell, who had four kills each.
 
UNA will return home for a pair of key GSC matches next weekend. The Lions host Valdosta State Friday at 7 p.m. before welcoming West Florida at 2 p.m. the following day.
