MEMPHIS, Tenn., – Jessica Austin had a game-high 14 kills and hit .480 for the match to lead the University of North Alabama volleyball team to a Gulf South Conference sweep at Christian Brothers on Saturday. The 11^th straight victory keeps the Lions unbeaten in GSC play at 5-0 and gives the team an 11-2 start to the season.

Natasha Fomina also hit .346 for the match with 13 kills in the 25-23, 25-22, 25-20 win. The junior from Broomfield, Colo., leads the league in kills per set. She helped UNA get off to a fast start with seven kills in the opening game.

North Alabama trailed 12-8 in the second set before rallying. A service ace by Ava Carnley gave the Lions a 15-14 lead and UNA never trailed again. Three different players had four kills each in the frame.

In the final set, Austin led the way with five kills on nine swings. The sophomore middle from Farmington Hills, Mich., also finished the day with two digs and two blocks.

For the match, Victoria Quintanilla also had 10 kills while setter Andrea De Leon finished with 39 assists. Peyton Lang added 10 digs. Alex Gillis led Christian Brothers (5-7 overall, 2-4 GSC) with 11 kills on the day.

UNA will host West Georgia on Tuesday. There will be a promotion to fill Flowers Hall and break the program's single-match attendance record of 831 fans. Match time is set for 7 p.m.
