MEMPHIS, Tenn., – Jaclyn Heath and Ivy Wallen combined for 45 points to lead the University of North Alabama women's basketball team to an 80-61 win at Christian Brothers Saturday in the regular season finale for both teams. With the win, UNA wraps ups the No. 5 seed in the Gulf South Conference and will travel to fourth-seeded West Georgia Tuesday in the opening round of the GSC Tournament.

Against CBU, Heath was 6-of-13 from three-point range and scored a game-high 23 points. As a team, the Lions connected on 12 three-pointers, setting a new school record with 204 for the season. The previous single-season mark of 199 was set during the 2006-07 campaign.

After battling to a 12-12 tie at the end of the first quarter, UNA dominated the second and third periods to take control. Heath scored nine points in the second quarter and the Lions shot 53.3 percent from the floor in the stanza to take a 33-25 halftime lead.

Heath opened the third quarter with a three-pointer to make the score 36-25 and the lead remained double figures the rest of the way. A basket by KeKe Gutner with 3:30 remaining in the period capped a 16-3 run for North Alabama.

CBU got no closer than 14 in the final period. Ivy Wallen scored nine of her 22 points in the fourth quarter as the Lions improved to 19-9 overall and 13-9 in GSC play.

Emma Wallen finished with five points for UNA. Her three-pointer in the second quarter gave her 70 on the year, tying a single-season record. Dorinda Gober also hit 70 treys for the Lions during the 1996-97 season.

Christian Brothers (13-13 overall, 10-12 GSC) was led by Samantha Reeves' 19 points. The Bucs will be the No. 8 seed in the GSC tourney and will open post-season play Tuesday at regular-season champion West Florida.
