UNA VOLLEYBALL STRUGGLES CONTINUE AGAINST LIPSCOMB

FLORENCE – Lipscomb hit .310 as a team while the University of North Alabama volleyball team was held to a .054 showing Tuesday evening in a 3-0 loss at Flowers Hall. The 25-20, 25-12, 25-15 defeat leaves the Lions with a 3-15 overall record and 1-4 mark in ASUN play.
 
UNA was held without a player with double figure kills for the second straight match and 13th time this season. Anna Katherine Griggs led the way with five kills and a .250 hitting percentage.
 
Although Lipscomb was also without a player with double digits, the Bisons were able to counter with a balanced attack, including three players with nine kills each.
 
Breylee Linder had eight assists, while Mackenzie Sullivan produced a match-high 14 digs for the Lions.  Maggie Sullivan also had four blocks.
 
UNA will hit the road for its next four ASUN matches, beginning with a Friday night matchup at Kennesaw State. First serve is set for 6 p.m. (Central) on the KSU campus.
