FLORENCE, Ala. -- Due to heavy rains expected to continue into the weekend, the University of North Alabama has moved its home baseball series with Tennessee-Martin to Saturday and Sunday (February 23-24) at Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Ala.
North Alabama was scheduled to play a three-game series with the Skyhawks over three days at Mike Lane Field but the series has now been condensed to a single game on Saturday at 5 p.m. and a double-header on Sunday beginning at noon.
UNA opened its 2019 season last weekend on Jacksonville's all-turf field and was able to play all three games despite rain.
The Lions and Skyhawks both enter the series with 1-2 records.
North Alabama's home opener at Mike Lane Field will now be on March 12 against Butler.
