FLORENCE – Liberty was able to fight off early runs in each set to down the University of North Alabama volleyball 3-0 Sunday afternoon at Flowers Hall. UNA falls to 0-3 after the 25-16, 25-22, 25-18 loss, including an 0-2 start to ASUN Conference play.
Kamryn Parsonage hit .265 and had 13 kills and 10 digs to lead UNA. The outside hitter from Cypress, Calif., leads all freshmen in the ASUN with an average of 3.78 kills per set.
Kennedey Johnson added 12 assists while Breylee Linder also reached double figures in the category with 10 assists.
As a team, the Lions were held to a .152 hitting percentage. Liberty hit .258 as a team and recorded 10 service aces on the day.
Following a schedule change, UNA will play at Lipscomb next weekend. The Lions will play two matches Feb. 20-21 with first serve set for 1 p.m. each day.
