ATLANTA (October 31, 2023) – The Atlantic Sun Conference announced the North Alabama conference schedule for the 2024 baseball season on Tuesday. The UNA schedule features 10 three-game sets with five on the road and five at Mike D. Lane Field. 

"The ASUN schedule will always be challenging," said UNA head coach Jad Prachniak, "All of our conference opponents force you to play at a high level to come out with a series win. The competitive nature of our league is what makes it fun to be a part of. We are looking forward to repeat matchups from previous years and also have a chance to compete against two programs that we have not faced since joining the ASUN in Jacksonville and Queens."

Road Warriors: North Alabama's 2024 conference schedule features five road matchups. The Lions road opener comes on March 22 and continues through March 24 at Eastern Kentucky. Following a home series, the Lions pick up road play on two consecutive weekends, matching up with Jacksonville on April 5-7 before traveling to Louisville, Ky. to square off with Bellarmine on April 12-14. UNA will then travel to Charlotte, N.C. for the first matchup with Queens in program history on May 3-5. North Alabama wraps up conference play at Austin Peay on May 16-18 before the ASUN Conference Tournament begins. 

Homecoming: The Lions open up conference play with Kennesaw State at Mike D. Lane field on March 15-17. North Alabama will then host Lipscomb in Florence for the fourth consecutive season on March 28-30. Following two weekends of road matchups, the Lions will return home to match up with Stetson on April 19-21 and Central Arkansas on April 26-28. UNA will play its final regular season home series against North Florida on May 10-12.

Deja Vu: Eight of the 2024 UNA conference opponents were also featured on the Lions' 2023 schedule, with Queens and Jacksonville being the only two teams North Alabama did not face last season. This season holds the first meeting between Queens and UNA in program history and just the second-ever meeting between UNA and Jacksonville, with the Lions holding a 2-1 record over the Dolphins from 2019.

Spring Cleaning: North Alabama matches up with Kennesaw State and Bellarmine in 2024, both opponents that UNA swept in the 2023 campaign. The Lions take on Kennesaw State in Florence to open the ASUN slate and travel to Bellarmine for the fourth consecutive season. 

New Heights: North Alabama set a new Division I program high for conference victories in 2023 with eight. That mark is the most since 2018, the Lions' final season as a Division II program and member of the Gulf South Conference.
