FLORENCE, Ala. (August 16, 2023) – The University of North Alabama Head Men's Golf Coach Austin Phillips announced the Lions' 2023-24 schedule that includes 11 total tournaments, with five in the fall and six in the spring.

"We are excited for this year's schedule," said first year head coach Austin Phillips, "It gives us an opportunity to play a variety of great courses against a variety of great teams. We have a chance to have a special season."

Phillips joins UNA by way of Cameron University where he led the Aggies to two of its best seasons in program history.
North Alabama opens its fall slate on Sept. 5-6 with the Iowa Fall Classic at the Blue Top Ridge Golf Course in Riverside, Iowa. The Lions will then travel to Choudrant, La. on Sept. 10-12 to participate in the Argent Financial Classic at the Squire Creek Country Club. 

On Sept. 24-26, UNA will play in the Graeme McDowell Invitational in Oneonta, Ala. at the Limestone Springs Country Club, hosted by UAB. The Lions placed second out of 12 teams in the 2022 Graeme McDowell Invitational.

North Alabama will then host the Turtle Point Invite at the Turtle Point Yacht and Country Club on Oct. 16-17 in Killen, Ala. UNA has hosted a tournament at Turtle Point 11 of the last 12 seasons.

"We invite everyone in the Shoals to come out and see how talented this team is," Phillips said.

The Lions close out their fall schedule with an international trip to Nassau, Bahamas for the White Sands Bahamas NCAA Men's Invitational on Oct. 20-22 at the Ocean Club.

UNA opens the 2024 spring season with The Savannah Intercollegiate on Feb. 17-18 at the Club at Savannah Harbor in Savannah, Ga.

On March 11-12, the Lions play in the Seminole Intercollegiate at the Seminole Legacy Golf Club in Tallahassee, Fla., then travel to Napa Valley, Calif. on March 25-26 for the PGA Tour Pathway to Progression Tournament at the Silverado Resort (North).

North Alabama plays in the Golfweek/Any Giving Tuesday Invite on April 1-3 at the True Blue Golf Resort in Pawleys Island, S.C. UNA's final regular season match is at the Mountaineer Invitational, hosted by West Virginia, at the Pete Dye Golf Club in Bridgeport W.Va. April 15-16.

The 2024 ASUN Men's Golf Championship will take place at a site to be determined on April 21-23. All championship information can be found by visiting www.asunsports.org.
