FLORENCE, Ala. (August 5, 2023) – The UNA football team took the field for another fall practice on Saturday. For the next several practices, the UNA football notebook will spotlight each position group — beginning today with the defensive backs.
The Lions have 17 players currently listed on the roster at defensive back, including redshirt junior
K.J. Trujillo who led the defense with five pass break-ups last season. This list includes six returning lettermen and a number of exciting transfers and freshmen.
"We're a very young group," said UNA defensive backs coach
De'Von Lockett. "Every day, we consistently get a percentage better, and that's a good sign."
