NOTES

ROAD TRAVELERS: North Alabama's 2024 conference schedule features five road matchups. The Lions get on the road for the second conference weekend at Eastern Kentucky on March 21. They continue with Lipscomb the following weekend in Nashville, Tenn. UNA plays back-to-back road series each month except for the final series of the season. Bellarmine and Austin Peay on April 17 and April 25, respectively, to start those series. The Lions will secure a home-and-home series for every team in their division for the ASUN conference.

NEW DIGS: Recently, the University of North Alabama began renovations for Bank Independent Stadium that will house the baseball, football and soccer teams starting in 2026. The Lions will play all of their home games at the new stadium in 2025, the same location that housed Mike D. Lane Field.

ON & OFF: North Alabama refreshes itself with new conference opponents as they play only divisional teams during the regular season. Last season, the Lions battled Kennesaw State, Eastern Kentucky, Lipscomb, Jacksonville, Bellarmine, Stetson, Central Arkansas, Queens, North Florida and Austin Peay. They slip Kennesaw State – now a C-USA conference member – Jacksonville, Stetson, Queens and North Florida off their schedule. There is no sunshine state regular season play in 2025.

DOUBLE FIGURES: In ASUN conference play last season, the bats got hot for the Lions. Five different games saw UNA score 11 or more runs. In those five games, North Alabama boasted a 4-1 record. The only loss came at the hands of a double-header 12-11 by Bellarmine on the road.

CONTINUING THE CLIMB: North Alabama set a new Division I program high for conference victories in 2024 with nine. The previous best was 2023 with eight and before that it was 2019 with seven. That mark is the most since 2018, the Lions' final season as a Division II program and member of the Gulf South Conference.
