FLORENCE, Ala. (April 16, 2025) – Ongoing progress at Bank Independent Stadium at the University of North Alabama will allow UNA Baseball to host its remaining home games at the new Mike D. Lane Field, beginning Thursday, April 17, against Bellarmine.
While the field is available for use, many areas surrounding the playing field will be off-limits to the general public.
As fans prepare to enjoy the Easter weekend series, here are
things to know:
WHERE TO WATCH: A viewing area will be available above the left field wall in the College View Church of Christ parking lot, as designated by the green highlighted area. This is a pedestrian-only area with no vehicles allowed for safe and comfortable viewing. Fans are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or to stand, as no bleacher seating will be provided.
ADMISSION: IT IS FREE! Fans can enjoy all remaining games at Bank Independent Stadium free of charge.
PARKING: Fans will be allowed to park at College View Church of Christ in the designated UNA parking area, which has approximately 150 parking spots. Entry is only accessible off Cumberland Street, as the Pine Street entrance and all parking spots through that entryway will not be available to the public. Parking is also available at Rice and Rivers Hall, along Stewart Avenue, below CB&S Bank Arena in "Lot O" and the UNA parking deck.
CONCESSIONS: Spark's Sweet Smoke Barbecue will be on site in a food truck next to the viewing area for fans to purchase concessions.
RESTROOMS: Portable restrooms will be made available along the pedestrian viewing area.
NO ALCOHOL: Alcohol is prohibited on the property and will not be served by vendors. This policy will be strictly enforced.
DO NOT RETRIEVE: Fans are asked not to retrieve any foul balls hit into restricted construction areas at any point in time.
MORE TO COME: Though construction will pause on gamedays, progress on Mike D. Lane Field at Bank Independent Stadium will continue throughout the summer. A grand opening for the full baseball facility will be scheduled later this year.
