GREENWOOD, Ind. (June 5, 2025) – College Sports Communicators (CSC) revealed the 2025 Academic All-District awards for baseball this week, listing senior captain
Brycen Parrish from the University of North Alabama.
This is Parrish's second CSC Academic All-District selection, coming in consecutive years.
To be eligible, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.5 grade-point average and must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. The athletic criteria includes competing in 90 percent of games or starting 66 percent of games. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances or pitched 35 innings.
Parrish, a homegrown graduate student from Wilson High School, recently concluded his final season as a Lion after five years with the program. Parrish was named captain, alongside
Jonathan Lane, before the 2025 season began.
The right-handed pitcher appeared and started in 10 games this season with 54.2 innings pitched. He earned the most wins of his career with three this season, while posting a 5.43 ERA with 32 strikeouts.
The captain threw the first complete game shutout of UNA's Division I era against Lipscomb on March 28 with a 1-0 win. He threw nine innings with five strikeouts — a season high – and only allowed two hits for the game.
The last player to do so was Tyler Joyner against Christian Brothers on April 15, 2018.
UNA's baseball program now has six CSC Academic All-District selections during the Division I era; Parrish is the first back-to-back winner during that span. This is the 18th CSC Academic All-District selection all-time for the Lions.
