FLORENCE, Ala. (February 11, 2026) – The University of North Alabama Department of Athletics announced the promotional schedule for the 30-game home slate for the 2026 baseball season on Wednesday.
The Lions, who are coming off a historic 2025 season that saw a berth to their first ASUN postseason tournament, opens the regular season against SIUE this Friday, Feb. 13 at 3 p.m.
For opening weekend, the Lions will give away 200 opening day Bank Independent Stadium T-shirts on Friday and 500 commemorative bats on Saturday to fans that attend the games against SIUE.
Alongside SIUE, familiar foes such as UAB, Murray State, Saint Louis, Samford, Tennessee Tech and UT Martin travel to Florence this year. North Alabama competed against each of these teams in 2025. Murray State, Samford and UT Martin were the only teams to play at the newly constructed field a season ago.
This season, the new Mike D. Lane Field at Bank Independent Stadium will host Furry Friend Friday's every Friday where fans can bring their favorite pup throughout the season presented by Barktown. Each Sunday is designated as Run for a Ribeye presented by George's Steak Pit where our favorite kids can run the bases after the game.
Other promotions include a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, Rally Rags, First Responder's Day and a Cinco De Mayo celebration, among others.

Alongside the new promotional schedule set forth by the department, the baseball program is excited to officially launch the opening of the new stadium. In doing so, the Mike will boast a brand-new video board with over 200+ seats, a party deck to enjoy the game and more.
PARKING: Due to worship services, the College View Church of Christ parking lot will be unavailable for Sunday's game. Fans are welcome to park at College View for sporting events except on Sundays and Wednesdays. Students, faculty and staff can park in the designated area Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Parking can also be found alongside Stewart and one side of Cumberland; the other side will be coned off.
TICKETING: All single game tickets can be found at RoarLions.com for this weekend's series with some reserved seating season tickets still available. Bank Independent Stadium is a cashless venue, including tickets and concessions.
