FLORENCE, Ala. (February 20, 2026) – The University of North Alabama women's basketball team is back in CB&S Bank Arena on Saturday, Feb. 21 for a 6 p.m. bout vs. Lipscomb in Florence, Ala.
Tickets are available for purchase through the North Alabama ticket office and on RoarLions.com. The game will be streamed on ESPN+ with "Voice of the Lions" Benjamin Ray and Arielle Schaffer on the call. The game will also air on radio through Roar Lions Productions with Chase Glover on commentary. The "Countdown to Tipoff" radio show begins at 5:40 p.m.
Saturday's game will also be Women's Basketball's "Pink Game" where fans are encouraged to wear to pink to the arena.
Full results and a recap will be posted on RoarLions.com following the action, but fans can also follow along in real time on the UNA Women's Basketball social media pages.
Fans are also encouraged to arrive early for the game, as parking is limited due to ongoing construction. As such, the lot near the Hal Self Athletic Annex will be unavailable. Violators will be towed if parked in the construction zone.
Lots A and B will be in the parking lot directly below Flowers Hall. Lot A pass holders will have coned off spots near the staircase. Shuttles will be available to take fans up to the field house lot for entry into CB&S Bank Arena.
Lot C parking will be in the parking lot below the Mitchell Burford Science and Technology Building. Residential Students will have access into Lot C with their hang tags. The public can also park in this lot for $12. Parking at the Bill Jones athletic complex will be unavailable. However, this lot is available as a drop off area near the arena.
Limited handicap parking will be available in front of the CB&S Bank Arena ticket office.

LAST TIME OUT: North Alabama secured its final road game of the regular season in an 87-54 rout over Bellarmine in Louisville, Ky. on Feb. 18. The Lions defeated the Knights in style, igniting to a 33-point victory in a wire-to-wire win. UNA landed its season-high in points and largest margin of victory in conference play and on the road to complete the season sweep over Bellarmine.
THE HOME STRETCH: The Lions' contest vs. Lipscomb begins a stretch of three-straight home games to conclude the regular season. The remaining home slate sees North Alabama take on Central Arkansas on Feb. 25 and West Georgia on Feb. 27. UNA has been strong in home games with an 8-3 record in CB&S Bank Arena. The Lions have averaged 64 points in "The Bank" while limiting opponents to just 55.2 points per game. UNA has won four of its last five games at home and look to make it a third-straight.
PREPARING FOR THE POSTSEASON: UNA is in the thick of a postseason push to secure a top-four seed in the Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Basketball Tournament. All 12 ASUN teams make the tournament, but only the top four teams will secure a first-round bye. North Alabama is tied for sixth place with a 9-6 ASUN record as of Feb. 20 – sharing the spot with FGCU. Stetson, Central Arkansas and West Georgia have 10-5 ASUN records and are in a three-way tie for third place. The Lions will look to split the season series against the Sugar Bears before facing the Wolves to secure a season sweep in upcoming home matchups.
SCOUTING UNA: UNA has gone 7-3 in the past 10 contests, including three-straight from Jan. 31 - Feb. 7 (FGCU, Austin Peay and at Queens). Senior Alexsandra Alvarado (17.1 points per game), sophomore Sofia Ceppellotti (11.3 PPG), junior Katie Criswell (9.8 PPG), senior India Howard (9.2 PPG) and freshman Gabby Jackson (9.0 PPG) have helped lead UNA during that span, along with contributions from senior Jazzy Klinge (6.3 PPG on 68.6 percent shooting and 6.8 RPG).
SCOUTING LIPSCOMB: The Bisons make the trip to Florence with a 9-17 record while 6-9 in the ASUN. Lipscomb looks to return to the win column after an overtime home defeat on Feb. 18 to West Georgia, 66-65. The Bisons are the ASUN's best team in blocked shots – leading the league with six per game. Lipscomb are also one of the ASUN's best defensive rebounding teams with 27.4 per game to rank second. Molly Heard is one to watch for the Bisons, ranking third in the conference at 14.3 points per game and first in steals with 2.3 per game. Lauren Sumski leads Lipscomb in her seventh season.
SERIES HISTORY: UNA looks to claim its ninth all-time victory over Lipscomb in the 31st meeting between the programs. The Bisons lead the series, 22-8, with the Lions looking for their first victory since a 76-68 road victory in Nashville, Tenn. on Feb. 14, 2022.
AMONG THE RANKS: The Lions are in the top 100 nationally in three categories as of Feb. 19. North Alabama ranks nationally per game in opponent three-point percentage (66th/28.4), defensive rebounds per game (67th/27.2) and opponent field-goal percentage (79th/37.9 percent).
DIME TIME: UNA is one of the best passing teams in conference, ranking third with 14.31 assists per game. Eight players have 20 or more assists on the season with five totaling 30 or more assists (Alvarado (86), Criswell (42), Jackson (40), graduate Bukky Akinsola (40) and Klinge (36)).
NOTHING EASY: North Alabama gets it done on the defensive end with three players ranked on the ASUN's blocked shots leaderboard. Howard ranks tied for seventh at 0.9 per game while Criswell and Ceppellotti rank tied for 22nd at 0.5.
RIGHT UP HER ALLEY: Alvarado sports a team-leading 13.2 points per game. She is also UNA's leader in assists (86), three-pointers made (49) and steals (40). Alvarado is tied for sixth in the ASUN in both three-pointers made per game (1.9 per game) and assists per game (3.3) while 11th in scoring. Defensively, Alvarado is tied for 12th in steals per game (1.5). She won her first ASUN accolades on Feb. 2, taking home both the conference's Player and Newcomer of the Week honor.
SOFIA SHINES: Ceppellotti is second on the team with 11.1 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. The sophomore is tied for 16th in both rebounding and three-pointers made per game (1.4) and ranks 18th in scoring in the ASUN.
GABBY GETS IT!: Jackson is the team leader in total rebounds with 164 for a 6.3 average. She has had at least seven rebounds in 12 games this season with the Kansas City, Mo. native 10th in the ASUN in rebounds per game. She earned back-to-back ASUN Freshman of the Week honors on Jan. 12 and Jan. 20.
BUKKY BUCKETS: Akinsola has made her mark in the playmaking and defense category. She's tied for third on the team in total assists (40) and has 19 steals on the season.
All INDIA, ALL THE TIME: Howard continues to produce on both ends of the floor with 7.4 points per game averages and 4.5 rebounds. She is the team's blocks leader with 24 on the season and is second in field-goal percentage at 58.6 percent. Howard totaled her 100th career block against South Alabama on Dec. 14, 2025, and played in her 100th career collegiate game on Feb. 9 at Central Arkansas.
COUNTING ON CRISWELL: Criswell has been finding ways to produce on both ends as well. She's been the Lions' on-ball defensive specialist and has accumulated double-digits in both steals (20) and blocks (14). The Lawrence County, Tenn. native scored a career-high 22 points on 56.3 percent against West Georgia on Feb. 11. Criswell additionally hit four three-pointers against the Wolves – also marking a career high.
