LIONS REMAIN 10TH IN AFCA POLL

WACO, Texas -- Coming off a 30-24 Gulf South Conference road win at Valdosta State, the University of North Alabama remains ranked 10th in the latest American Football Coaches Association NCAA Division II poll.


The Lions, now 1-1 overall, are the highest ranked team in the nation with a loss. UNA dropped its season-opener 8-7 against currently third ranked Texas A&M-Commerce.


North Alabama has now been ranked in the last 47 consecutive NCAA Division II polls.


UNA hosts West Alabama Saturday (Sept. 23) at Braly Stadium at 6 p.m.
