JACKSON, Tenn. -- With rounds of 285 and 277, the University of North Alabama men's golf team holds a five stroke lead at the end of the first day at the Grover Page Classic at the Jackson Country Club.
The Lions sit at 14-under-par, followed by Tennessee Tech and Bellarmine at nine-under-par in the 16-team event.
UNA seniors
Andre Jacobs of League City, Texas and
Carter Goodwin of Hoover, Ala., are tied for third at 139. Both Lions turned in rounds of 71 and 68 for five-under-par. UNA's
Francois Jacobs is tied for 20th (143),
Henry Frizzell is tied fpr 27th (144) and Xing "Eric" Luo is tied for 34th (145).
Jackson Skeen of Tennessee Tech is the top individual at eight-under-par.
The final round of the tournament is scheduled for Tuesday.
