FLORENCE, Ala. (October 6, 2023) – The University of North Alabama football program had back-to-back weeks full of festivities in Florence with a reunion for the 1993 national championship team and the annual Homecoming celebration at Braly Stadium this past month.

A notable person present at both events is UNA Hall of Fame running back Tyrone Rush.

Rush is comfortably etched in the UNA football history book numerous times, including school records, awards, All-American recognition and, of course, as the starting running back for the 1993 national championship team. He is also a member of the UNA Athletic Hall of Fame and was present to watch the Class of 2023's induction last Saturday on campus.

Now residing in California, Rush flew back to Florence for both the reunion and Homecoming and spent time with various teammates, staff members and friends from his college days. This exclusive interview is available via the North Alabama Athletics YouTube page. Click here for similar content.
