TUNICA, Miss. -- Despite a one-under-par final round as a team, the University of North Alabama men's golf team finished one stroke short of a tournament title at the Tunica National Intercollegiate as Arkansas State and UT-Arlington tied and 863 and UNA was at 864.

UNA senior Andre Jacobs led the Lions' effort, finishing second as an individual at eight-under-par. Jacobs had rounds of 70, 68 and 70 to finish three strokes behind Missouri State's Max Kreikemeier at 11 under.

North Alabama's Henry Frizzell's final round 68 moved him from 54th at the start of the round to finish tied for 22nd at 220. Teammate Carter Goodwin also made a big jump to finished tied for 27th at 221. Francois Jacobs was 39th (225) and Niko Nebout tied for 41st (227).
