NOTES
ABOUT LAST GAME: UNA earned a 1-1 draw against Tarleton State on Sunday afternoon in the third-ever game at the newly-opened Bank Independent Stadium. The Lions outshot the Texans 21-10 on Sunday, striking 12 shots in the second half. The game's superhero, senior Maddie Reynolds, had six shots with four on target alongside her equalizer in the 83rd minute. This marked Reynolds' second goal of the season and her first-ever conference goal, which came off an assist from senior Monica Yoder — her first as a Lion. Tarleton State scored in the 66th minute thanks to Jessica St. Baires, the third-leading goal scorer across the conference. The Texans mustered 10 shots with seven on goal for the afternoon matchup. The Lions added six total corners for the game, with five in the first half.

SERIES HISTORY: This is the first all-time meeting between the North Alabama Lions and the Little Rock Trojans.

SCOUTING THE TROJANS: Little Rock has accumulated a season record of 3-5-4 thus far, along with a conference record of 1-1-3, where it currently sits at the bottom of the UAC Red Division with six points. Junior forward Maggie Turner leads the Trojans with five goals on the season, and senior defender Candice Kilderry has five assists. This week, sophomore defender Emily Nahon earned UAC Defender of the Week honors following the Trojans' back-to-back shutouts against conference opponents West Georgia and Eastern Kentucky. Back in August, junior forward Maria Schuller earned UAC Preseason Offensive Player of the Year after her 12-goal season in 2025. This year, she has netted three goals and tallied a single assist.

GLAD TO MEET YA: The Lions meet five new opponents this season in Cal Baptist, UC San Diego, UNC-Asheville, Little Rock and Tarleton State. This is the first time in program history the Lions have played a team in California or a California-based soccer program. Now joining the UAC, the conference gives UNA two first time opponents in Little Rock and Tarleton State; the Lions played Abilene Christian two separate times with a home-and-home in 2018-19. These five programs had a combined 34-35-28 record in 2025 with Cal Baptist owning the best record of the bunch at 10-9-4. Little Rock is the second straight new opponent the Lions will face after facing Tarleton State on Sunday in Florence.

CROSSING OVER: The meeting between UNA and Little Rock marks another UAC "crossover" game for the Lions, the first two being against Abilene Christian and Tarleton State last week. The newly formed eight-team conference is split into two four-team divisions. UNA competes in the Blue Division with Eastern Kentucky, Austin Peay and West Georgia, while Abilene Christian joins Tarleton State, Central Arkansas and Little Rock in the Red Division. Teams play each opponent within their division twice – once at home and once away – and each team from the opposite division once. For the UAC Tournament, the top team in each division earns a bye to the semifinals. Central Arkansas will host the conference tournament, beginning with first-round matches on Sunday, Nov. 8. The semifinals will be played Wednesday, Nov. 11, followed by the championship match Saturday, Nov. 14.

NEXT GAME: The Lions extend their time in Arkansas as they travel to play against the Central Arkansas Bears on Sunday at 1 p.m.
