ATLANTA, Ga. -- The University of North Alabama women's tennis team has been picked to finish 10th in a pre-season poll of ASUN Conference head tennis coaches.
The Lions are in their first season under new Director of Tennis Olaya Garrido-Rivas and assistant Aitor Reparaz.
The team returns
Kalais Going,
Nicole Reilly and
Juliette Talieu from the 2022 squad.
"I am very excited for the season," said Garrido-Rivas. "We've been working hard in the Fall preparing for it. We had some challenges to overcome but they've prepared us for anything we will face during the season. That is what the Fall is about. It will be important for us to come together as a team to show everyone what we are made of, and to build a good foundation for the future of the program."
The Lions open their 2023 season on the road at Ole Miss on January 22. UNA will host its home opener on Tuesday, January 31 against UAB.
North Alabama will play seven ASUN Conference matches prior to the conference post-season tournament.
