UNA'S ALLYCIA GAN FINISHES THIRD AT PGA WORKS

BESSEMER, Ala. -- University of North Alabama junior golfer Allycia Gan of Selangar, Malaysia finished third at the 2023 PGA WORKS Women's Collegiate Championship at Bent Brook.

Gan, who finished four strokes behind tournament champion Phu Khine of UNC-Wilmington, had rounds of 74, 70 and 78 for a seven-over-par, 222 total. Gan was tied for the lead entering the final round with Charlotte's Kaiyuree Moodley, who finished second at 219.

The PGA WORKS individual competition is open to all minority women student-athletes playing collegiate golf at the Division I, Division II, Division III, NAIA, and NJCAA level, or participants who are enrolled in one of the PGA of America's PGA Golf Management University Programs.

Gan played her first two seasons of collegiate golf at Missouri Western University before transferring to UNA prior to the current 2022-23 season. She was one of UNA's most consistent performers this year, with her top performance being a second place finish at the Colonel Classic in Richmond, Ky.
