CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (September 25, 2023) – The University of North Alabama women's golf sits firmly in second place on Monday following the first two rounds of the APSU Intercollegiate in Clarksville, Tenn. at Clarksville Country Club.
UNA turned in the second-best rounds in both the first round (303) and second round (295) on day one of the tournament. The Lions 598 total is second to just tournament host Austin Peay, who boasts a 572 total going into the final round. North Alabama holds a 10-stroke lead over third place Butler and also leads Belmont, Eastern Illinois and Tennessee State.
Jahnavi Prakhya leads all North Alabama golfers with a 146 two-round total. Prakhya is tied for third place, using a 72 second round to move up the leaderboard after finishing round one tied for 10th.
Allycia Gan is not far behind Prakhya, finishing day one in sixth place with a 148. Junior
Hannah Dees is tied for 11th place with a 151 while senior
Tori Roush wrapped up her day tied for 14th (153). Redshirt Freshman
Kerigan Klauber wrapped up her first day tied for 19th with a 158.
UNA has the second most pars (107) and birdies (21) after the first two rounds, trailing Austin Peay in both categories. Prakhya leads the Lions with seven birdies.
Play concludes on Tuesday, Sept. 26 with the third and final round of the tournament.
