PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (March 24, 2024) – University of North Alabama women's golf team placed eighth in the Lady Bison Classic hosted by Lipscomb on Sunday. Allycia Gan and Jahnavi Prakhya led all UNA individuals, each tying for 14th place.
 
North Alabama wrapped up the Lady Bison Classic with a three-round 928 total. UNA punched a 306 in the second round, sandwiched by 311 totals in the first and third rounds. Harvard took home the tournament crown with a 28-over-par 892 total. Abilene Christian and Dartmouth rounded out the top three teams while host Lipscomb picked up the fourth place finish. Yale and UNC Asheville trailed the Bisons while ASUN foe Austin Peay placed one spot ahead of UNA. North Alabama finished ahead of USC Upstate, Albany and Mount St. Mary's.
 
Prakhya and Gan each tied for 14th place after turning in 229 tournament totals. One of Gan or Prakhya has led UNA in each of eight tournaments this season. The pair each picked up six birdies in the tournament, the most of any Lion golfer. 
 
Hannah Dees tied for 26th place with a 231 total. Dees picked up an eagle on hole nine during round two, one of just three eagles across the tournament. Tori Roush tied for 43rd place with a 240, while Kerigan Klauber tied for 49th place after shooting a 242.
 
UNA picked up 10 birdies on day three after tallying just nine in the first two rounds combined. Gan and Klauber each notched three birdies in the third round. 
 
North Alabama picks up play on April 8-9 at the Brickyard Collegiate hosted by Mercer. The Brickyard Collegiate is the final regular season tournament before UNA participates in the ASUN Women's Golf Championship on April 14-16.
