NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 23, 2025) – For the first time this spring, the University of North Alabama women's golf team will cross state borders as the Lions will play in the Nashville Invitational hosted by Lipscomb on Monday and Tuesday at the President's Reserve Golf Course in Hermitage, Tenn.
This will be UNA's fourth straight week of competition following tournaments in Huntsville, Glencoe and Gulf Shores the last three weeks — all in Sweet Home Alabama.

NOTABLES
THE FIELD: The Lions are one of 16 teams in the field and one of four schools from the Atlantic Sun Conference along with Austin Peay, Jacksonville and host school Lipscomb. Power programs Iowa and Washington State are also in the field. Others include Butler, Belmont, Tennessee State, Western Michigan, Eastern Washington, Cal State Northridge, Cal State Fullerton, Morehead State, Longwood and Houston Christian.
ORDER OF EVENTS: The practice round takes place on Sunday, followed by a double-shotgun start on Monday morning at 8 a.m. The final round will begin Tuesday at the same time in the same fashion.
THE COURSE: The Nashville Invitational will take place at the President's Reserve Golf Course, which plays up to 7,200 yards, and was designed by Denis Griffiths. Griffiths is also the designer of Atlanta's Chateau Elan Golf Course which was the home of the ASUN Women's Golf Championship from 2017-19. Winding through over 300 acres of natural Tennessee wetlands along the Cumberland River, the President's Reserve is recognized by Golf Digest Magazine as one of the top 10 courses in Tennessee.
THE LINEUP: UNA will carry six golfers this week with five starters and redshirt sophomore
Kerigan Klauber as an individual. Three freshman will play atop the order in
Elsa Maren Steinarsdottir,
Sirichaya Chanpen and
Olivia Whittle. Seniors
Jahnavi Prakhya and
Hannah Dees will follow.
LAST TIME OUT: The Lions finished sixth place of 10 teams at the Bama Beach Bash in Gulf Shores last week. Though the Lions did not move up or down on the final day, the program had two of the only four eagles hit in the tournament. Chanpen was the highlight of the final round, moving up 11 spots to finish 22nd at 17-over 233. The Thailand native recorded an eagle on hole 14 and added birdies on holes 7, 9 and 18 to card a 74 for the round.
