He finished under par on the front nine and added a birdie on the ninth hole — the final hole for UNA golfers as they all started on the 10th to begin the day.
STAR-STUDDED: The Prestige name does not undersell the tournament. This season, 17 of the 24 teams are top-100 ranked with nine of those in the top-50 across the nation. Thirteen of the schools participating are that of the Power Four level.
THE BREAKDOWN: UC Davis was the host school last season and returns to host the highly-sought after collegiate tournament where a total of 24 teams will compete. The tournament tees off Monday at 8:45 a.m. PT/10:45 a.m. CT with groups beginning on the first and 10th holes in 11-minute intervals. Monday through Wednesday will see 18 holes each day as the golfers will travel through the par-71, 7,185-yard course.
THE FIELD: Twenty-four teams will compete in the tournament. The 13 power-four programs include No. 15 Texas Tech, No. 25 Wake Forest, No. 28 Stanford, No. 34 Clemson, No. 45 Northwestern, No. 46 Colorado, No. 47 Kansas, No. 54 SMU, No. 61 Kansas State, No. 66 Iowa State, No. 72 Washington State, No. 84 Oregon and No. 94 Oregon State. Other ranked teams include No. 44 Little Rock, No. 48 San Diego, No. 52 UNCW and No. 90 Princeton. Aside from those 17 teams Gonzaga, Yale, Colorado State, Lipscomb, UC Davis and Nevada are in on the tournament.
THE PRESTIGE, 2025: Last season, San Diego took home both the tournament title and individual crown for the 2025 tournament. As a team San Diego shot a 29-under tournament, besting the second place Texas Tech team by 16 strokes. San Diego had an -18 under final day to secure the tournament win. San Diego's Ryan Abuan won the individual side with an 11-under three days and a six-under final round to best second place by three strokes. San Diego's tournament win saw a stroke total of 823; North Alabama's best three-round tournament during the Division I era came in the first fall tournament of this season with an 830 at the Golfweek Fall Challenge.
