JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (April 28, 2026) – The Atlantic Sun Conference announced Tuesday that University of North Alabama golfer junior Andrew Ferworn was named to the All-ASUN First Team, while Jedd Brady and Arthur Estas were named to the ASUN All-Freshman Team.
This is the first time the Lions have placed a golfer on the All-ASUN First Team since beginning their Division I tenure.
Brady and Estas are the first pair of teammates to be named to the All-Freshman team in the same year. Prior to 2026, UNA had one other ASUN All-Freshman selection in 2024 Andrew Ferworn.
After this selection, Ferworn now has an All-ASUN First Team, All-ASUN Third Team and All-Freshman selection through his three-year career.
The junior finished as the No. 202 golfer in all of collegiate golf per Scoreboard CLIPPD. He ended the 2026 season with a 70.6 scoring average through 11 tournaments played.
Ferworn had four top-three finishes this season with an individual crown after his eight-under, 136-scorecard at the Florida Atlantic Invitational on October 27. Ferworn scored a 69-67 with 12 birdies and bested all golfers in par-4s with his 3.70 average (-6). During that tournament, he reset the Division I era individual two round tournament record that he set at the Cullan Brown Collegiate with his 137.
Ferworn won three ASUN Golfer of the Week awards this season. He now owns five total awards during his career with North Alabama surpassing teammate Xing Luo for most during a career as a Lion.
"Andrew had a great year this season," said The Schmitz Family Head Men's Golf Coach Austin Phillips. "His play has been extremely deserving of First Team honors. It's been amazing to watch his career grow over these past three seasons and I can't wait to see how he does at NCAA Regionals."
Jedd Brady finished with four top-20 finishes and even had a top-five designation at the Bridgestone Collegiate Invitational. He led the Lions to third place with a card of 69-70-70 through three rounds of play; the freshman sank 14 birdies and an eagle.
The Australian started 10 tournaments this season of the 11 possible. As the season concluded he ranked as No. 780 collegiate golfer with 437 wins over his opponents.
Arthur Estas competed in six events this year with his best placement coming at the Turtle Point Invite in 15th at three-under. He had an even-par first round of the ASUN Tournament in Valdosta, Ga. to put the Lions in third after the first day.
"In a time where freshman are playing less and less in this sport, it's refreshing to see two freshman contributing to this team.," said Phillips. "Jedd was so solid the entire year and was the most impactful freshman in the entire conference. Arthur stepped up the second semester and became a big part of the team down the stretch. I can't wait to see their growth through the program over the next few seasons."
These three players led the Lions to 98 wins over teams this year with remarkable ones such as sixth-place finish at The Prestige tournament. The Lions beat 11 top-100 ranked opponents in this tournament while being tied with one other — five being top-50 teams. North Alabama won out over teams such as No. 25 Wake Forest, No. 34 Clemson, No. 44 Little Rock and No. 46 Colorado, among others in La Quinta, Calif.
In the Scoreboard CLIPPED national rankings, North Alabama finished No. 101 across the NCAA after the seventh-place designation at the ASUN Tournament in Valdosta, Ga. The team had two wins this season at the GMAC Invitational and Turtle Point Invite while earning six top-five finishes this season.
